It could also be actual theft. We had a guy a few years back get his stolen. He found it several weeks later completely burnt out in Capitol Forest.

Started coming down heavy and wet. Took out half of one 8' tall madrone next to the house. Now it is starting to rain. Hopefully getting lots of snow up higher, only ~600ft here.

Well, I thought I'd hit Firebreak/Cedar Tree this weekend and throw some mud around...boy was I wrong. I didn't know the PNW got snow like this at this low of elevation. Everything's covered in 8"+ of powder, with another 3" or so worth of ice and slush underneath. I didn't wanna win a Darwin award or kill my ride (again), so I left the switchbacks and climbs alone on Friday.

Went chugging over to GP national forest Saturday to camp on Panther Creek, and it was more of the same. Nice part was that I saw one guy in a Montero roll down the way that night, and not another soul 'til the next day when I left...and had to winch a Jeep Renegade out twice. Believe it or not, stock 28" highway tires do not a snowbasher make.

Anyway, I'm new to the area and am down to grab a beer with some folks and put a run together. Holler.

Looks like fun! That area always sees seasonal snow. Couple roads and passes further up the hill close every year. Good spot for snow mobiles and what not though.

Biggest snowfall I can recall in recent history today. We had 16" here at the house! Drove the little red snowplow to work so my wife could have the Tacoma. She ended up not going to work but did get out & play in the snow with it a bit. We took it out for a food run a bit earlier too so I could play in the snow for the first time with it. Fun times! Did better than I expected in 2wd based on other comments about shitty traction with the factory tires.

This was more a pic of the vette than the pickup but you get the idea.

    IMG_20190225_135844.jpg

Here's the little red car when I was rolling/sliding in after work this afternoon. She was plowing snow pretty good with the front! Handled just fine, a little tricky getting through corners with the snow really piled deep but that was it. Nothing like learning to drive in the snow in Sandpoint though

Damn 16" in Eugene. Last time i remember that was early 90-95.

Enjoy it, beltline should be a blast tomorrow, people slowing down and sliding into the downhill side.
