Anyone been up to Brown's Camp/Tillamook in the last two weeks? I wanna roll around and camp Saturday, but last time I went there, it was snowed out.

That sounds fun. I passed by on 3/2 to head to Tillamook, and saw an SUV turning in. Hopefully melted a good bit with all this sun.
I checked youtube and sorted by this week. Saw some guys went up more recently: https://youtu.be/Y8wL3NrIe_s & https://youtu.be/vPaI0U_ZgNs

Also did someone here wave at me on the 6 that day? Brown taco. I saw you too late!

Looks like he needed to air down. Also, driving over the strap is a bad idea. I know, because I did that a long time ago in my ZJ on a snow run, and managed to sever a front brake hose. Vise grips zip tied to the frame to hold the end closed of the hose worked, but 3 wheel braking with only 1 front wheel is rather sporting.....

We should definitely check out Browns Camp this weekend. Though I'm not too keen on camping there...

Trying to do a snatch-style recovery with an auto parts tow strap was already bad enough. Bonus points for him mashing the throttle on ice.

    Lol, why's that?

RTT, hi lift, spare tire, two jerry cans. Not on the truck on the daily is my box full of recovery tools. I've always had my RTT on because I used to live in an apartment. Now i have a garage and thinking about the hoist but not sure if I'd actually like taking it on and off all the time.

Well, Brown's Camp/Tillamook area is picking back up. The melt has made the main loops all accessible again, and the toyhauling crowd is there en masse. There's still plenty of deep stuff off the spurs, but I was able to snowbash my way up from Beaver Dam up to Firebreak One, as the only tracks were from a quad. Found a campsite that would be a nightmare in summer, but it was dead quiet last night. Only vehicle that came close was a Jeep XJ that got stuck about 100 yards down the way. Helped him get out, and then not a peep.

Hey everybody, I want to introduce myself and see if I might be able to tag along someday. I just moved up to SW Portland (Tualatin) for school. I'm currently renovating the rental before my schedule gets hectic but I would like to find some trails, camping/fishing spots and outdoor areas to explore with the lady and dog.

I went to Tillamook with a rental Subaru the last time I was here (before the snow) and found a few trails but all pretty short. Any website or guides that you recommend for solo trips?

Looking forward to meeting some of you if we get the chance!

I was up at Goat Mountain on Saturday for a quick test fire and it was very soupy... the snow was melting down pretty fast and I only seen 1 military Humvee up there but should be some good wheeling soon. 347F7290-45EF-415C-A6FF-262D4B0C72FC.jpg
