That is the perfect truck, I have the 2018 version of that with MGM. I bought it online from a dealer in Moses Lake who ended up finding one in Auburn and actually dropped it off at my house. I live in Cle Elum which is between Auburn and Moses Lake so they just dropped it off vs. me having to drive and get it. I used USAA's buying service and never went to a dealer or haggled with anyone.

My father in law swears by wilsonville Toyota. He worked in the car world for years and has bought a couple cars from them now. I have no personal experience with them.

Wilsonville is the dealer I called this afternoon who told me Toyota no longer builds custom trucks and hasn't for 10 years.

If true, that's a big check for them in my book, because literally every other dealer says "yeah, we can do that" and then jerks me around...They shot straight and said "we cannot do that, anyone who says otherwise is lying and hoping to locate a truck before the clock runs out."

For now Wilsonville is top of my list for possible dealers I will go to with my business to try and get a Sport MT sorted out; your FIL's endorsement further supports that judgement.

This is correct. Toyota doesn’t do custom. You pick an option package and color and wait for Toyota to allocate that to your dealer. I think it took 3-4 months for me in ‘18.

Any brewery recommendations for the North Oregon coast? I'll be in Cannon Beach for a week in May. Fort George has always been my favorite, but I'm looking for other suggestions.

Buoy brewing is pretty great. While you’re at it grab some fish and chips at the Bowpicker. Those are both in Astoria. Have fun!

Check out Columbia Gorge Toyota in The Dalles. Its not a crazy drive and the place is relatively new so they're still trying to make a good impression and draw people in from Portland.

    Hey man,

I've had a similar shit time with pretty much all of those dealerships. Gladstone is the worst. That entire dealership is a pile of flaming dog shit.
They treat you like you're some broke chump, when you won't sign their ridiculous offer sheets.
Even had some sale manager come give me a "pep talk," so I crumpled up the paper, Kobe'd that thing in the trash right in front of him, then walked out. That was the last time, and it was only twice.

Try Capitol Auto Group in Salem. They have ordered me 2 trucks to my EXACT liking, even down to the stupid stuff like mud guards I didn't want to pay for.
They are also fleet sales (not commissioned off sale of vehicle, but on volume). I had to wait some time to get what I wanted (~3 months each time), but if you wait, you'll get it.

If you don't mind driving south a bit, Pelican has decent beer but the location in Pacific City can't be beat with a sunset over the "other Haystack Rock."
You can also have a beach fire basically right off the beach in front of the brewery.

Another +1 for a Bouy Beer Co. recommendation. Also a great location, with mouth of Columbia views. Food here is also good.

If you are into sours and barrel-aged beer, de Garde Brewing is amazing in Tillamook.

I also like the Rogue Brewery location @ Astoria, on Pier 39. Not crazy about Rogue beer at all, but it's a very cool spot.
If you can be there when the seafood market on the Pier is open, the crazy fisherman who runs it, is hilarious. He'll crack fresh caught oysters for you for cheap, and you can bring your beer back there too.

Reach Break Brewing in Astoria is meh.

Astoria Brewing Co. is meh, but the brownie Sunday there is bomb... I don't make the rules...

Bill's Tavern and Brew House is trash in Cannon Beach. Don't waste your taste buds.

Public Coast Brewing Co. in Cannon Beach is fairly new (I think), but I haven't been yet. Might be worth checking out.

    Hope some of this helps.
Also these are my opinions... Some may dispute.

Thanks for the info! I'll definitely check out the recommended spots, especially de Garde Brewing. I love sours and it's hard to find decent ones.

de Garde Brewing is some of the best in the country for sours.
They are highly touted in the beer nerd world as well, especially for trading.
Lots of beers are "enjoy here" only, and only a select few each month can be taken to go.

They have weird hours, and a small small tap room, so make sure to call/check before venturing here.
Last time I went, they had a good amount of outdoor seating.

Public Coast is pretty damn good and is right on the north end of cannon beach. There is a pelican brewing in town as well. Like someone mentioned if you are into sours, deGarde is simply amazing.

If you venture up to Astoria I would say buoy or Ft George are worth it. You could probably skip rogue.
