Speaking of spindle gussets - I have a set of all pro spindle gussets sitting in my garage somewhere for the last 10 years or so if anyone in the PDX area wants them for free. I bought them from someone off TTORA when that website was still a thing :drunk:

Well, I got the list of broken stuff from the shop, it's quite extensive and is going to cost me a pretty penny:

    Spindle
    Hub
    LCA
    UCA
    CV

That's just the stuff they know they're going to have to replace, it may end up with a new axle and power steering, depends on what the drive after getting it rolling again shows, luckily it looks like my new Kings survived. I'm going to be without wheels for a bit while they're trying to source parts. I was quoted $7200, does that sound like I'm getting ripped off? It's all OEM parts (except for my UCAs).

Spindle should be a couple hundred bucks
    Hub is 130
    LCA is 200
    UCA depends what you have
    CV is couple hundred bucks.
    Alignment 150

7200 sounds like there's about 6000 in labor. That seems a bit excessive for what amounts to about 2 days worth of work

For 7200 you could long travel the front and replace almost all of those parts anyways and still come out ahead

I'm swinging by today to grab some stuff out of my truck, I'm going to get an itemized list of the quote and get more details. I'm definitely leaving off a few parts, however I think I got all the big ones. Thanks for the info!

Yeah that sounds like stealership prices. I was quoted 2500 or so for my drum issue. Ended up being maybe 2.5 hours of DIY labor and 150 in parts. The oem drum hardware kit is like 130 bucks vs 20-30 bucks from an autozone lol.

Ouch! Yeah I try to avoid them for repairs...they like to do a shotgun approach and just replace anything within the vicinity of what's wrong.

Thats quite the parts list, and quite the price. Almost guarantee that it is just the spindle, the uca/lcas are pretty darn strong, the spindle being the weak link. Maybe the cv if it over flexed. Not sure why the hub would be toast either

Yessir! Probably last time out there for the year. Was 18 degrees overnight, and 30 degrees during the day. Snow level dropping to 3k feet this weekend, with plenty of snow in the forecast so Chinook will probably close here soon!

Geeze, yeah that is way too much. Having replaced all those parts myself, none of them are that difficult and pretty straight forward to remove. Any mechanic will usually charge more than it seems worth, some are worse than others, particularly dealerships. I agree that they're probably also advising more needs to be replaced than necessary; easier for them to do that than be accused of missing something. If at all feasible just do the work yourself. Lots of resources on here for replacing those parts.

For sure! I'll have to see if I can find that box in the garage and I'll take a pic of it for you.

Does anyone have the ECGS bushing removal tool they would let me borrow?
    I'm in the PDX area.

Planning on doing this next weekend, while I do all my suspension.
