If you set a date they will come, especially if snows involved.

Throw out some dates, weekends are preferred, but I do have every other Friday off as well. It's looking like we are going to get some new snow here the first weekend of Feb. I'm new to the area so I know of a few trails, but I ride ADV bikes most of the summer. I'm good to go anywhere on this side of the mountains.

Tacoma newbie here in Shoreline. If you’ve seen a Solar Octane Pro with no plates driving around between here and Edmonds, that’s me.

Would love any suggestions on where I can get this new truck ever so slightly dirty that isn’t too far away. Not trying to do any crawling or anything. Subbing to this thread for any local meetups where I can hem and haw at your mods and resist the urge to make the same on my own.

Welcome! Looks like there is a snow run brewing at the moment. There's a huge set of NF roads between I-90 to Mt Rainier, you can get on at exit 62, Stampede Pass, one of my favorites, it's not really accessible in the deep winter though. https://goo.gl/maps/7bHtDnhhF14fyDG86

Another good one is Tahuya, it's an off-road park that is not overly difficult. https://goo.gl/maps/KLvXuxSK183iqGYy5

I've also heard Moses Lake is pretty awesome, although I have never been, planning on heading out there soon: https://goo.gl/maps/RcxmrRVNFSmg76Td8

We looked at a house on the water on deer island back in 2018 but decided to pass on it because the water level agreement wasn’t passed yet and lot of people at the time were selling their houses. We still managed to buy a house within a short walk of a lake in maple valley but not on the water. One of these days…

On the lake Tapps is nice in the summer. Looks like shit in the winter when the lake is drained back.

I'd rather be on the Sound.

I know there is a PNW Tacoma's Monthly get together for Friday evening, Feb 10th, so if anyone else is up for it, A Saturday Feb 11th run out one of the local Ellensburg trails can work. I know of Durr Rd, bits of the BDR, and then a couple of trails down off Old Vantage that are open for vehicles.

I use to find lots of wallets, jewelry, and sunglasses back in the day every winter when they drain the lake it's like a gold mine out there.

Yeah, I was told from a coworker who had a really nice house there that it’s fun for kids to explore and stuff but yeah no fishing/boating for 2/3 of the year…

I’d like to retire on a house on hood canal…
