Fire started about 10 miles from me. Last info puts it at 200-300 acres. They are getting crews on it quickly, had a Chinook fly over with its bucket damn near dragging trees.
I'll have to keep an eye on it as the wind usually comes from that direction here.

Stay safe! Fires are scary business. My grandparents lived in LaPine Oregon for years and it seemed were always fleeing fires.

Every summer on this job, I've gotten to watch fires balloon up. Unlike the fires on USFS land, they are hitting this fast. I've seen multiple helicopters with buckets and a C130 water bomber flew right over me a little bit ago and is now flying loiter just at the edge of the fire. Looks like he is waiting for a wind shift to clear up smoke from the fire line to make a drop.

I finally got around to fixing this with a painted bumper cap from Taco Vinyl. It's a great color match, but kind of a pain to install. I'm quite happy with the results. Thanks for the suggestions.

Looks great! I can't tell the difference at all.

I feel you, I swapped multiples of those because I kept breaking them. I can't even imagine how much of a pain in the ass it is with those sensors, I don't have them on my truck.

Thanks! The parking sensor was a pain. It's three pieces (two sandwich on the cover then the main sensor) they all have to be aligned properly to click into place and clock the sensor body in the correct direction to align with the wiring harness.

My rear bumper is thrashed. I'm thinking about getting these. Is there an install video anywhere? Curious what resources you used to get the job done.

—— For those seeking a local Fox (or other MFG) shock rebuild service——

I recently discovered a Seattle local shop that performs rebuilds on Fox, King, OMU, Bilstein, etc. His name is Marc and his website is https://4x4shocktech.com/

He has partnered with many local shops around the Seattle area to support the removal/reinstall portion, with his cost being pass-through so you only need to pay one invoice. Marc arranged to have my work done through a local shop (Ranaway Diesel) with a 2-day turnaround to minimize the time my truck in on the shop’s lift.

Until now, the only option in this region was to send the shocks to Fox or to California-based rebuild specialists. Marc’s rebuild quotes are in-line with both Fox and other non-local options, but without the need to ship, or the long turnaround times.

Incredibly excited…I’ll know more when the work is done in early December.

Very cool, thank you! I'm going to have to do a rebuild soon and I've been grimacing at the thought of having to ship them to CA, I'll be interested to hear how things turn out.
