It's not perfect, but I like to use this https://www.weather.gov/sew/Mountainforecast

Unfortunately, it doesn't group by altitude but you should be able to reference a topo map to get a good idea of weather

I know its not mosture content. But checking weather in the nearest town and then the start and end of the trails elevations .

The Noaa has a dopler radar app a well that is handy too. Since they are the most advance meteroligists.

I've been having some issues with my EVAP system for a while now. I've replaced the entire system and I still get all the codes. I've run out of free time to mess around with it and need to get it smogged this month to renew the registration. Anyone know someone in the South Portland area that is affordable and could do some fabrication as well?

    Hey all!

I’m fairly new to Seattle and I just recently picked up a DCSB 2013 taco. I’ve never been to any real off road parks or tails and I was hoping to get out next week somewhere to test out my new truck.

Given the time of year, do any of you have any recommendations for a place that is passable for a stock Tacoma? I’ll be with a buddy of mine and I don’t have any recovery gear so I’m really just looking for a mild, fun trail to drive. I’m willing to drive a couple hours in any given direction for a good spot.

    Thanks!

Off the top of my head, I believe stampede pass and fortune creek trail (to gallagher head lake) can be done stock (when there's no snow). You can go out to gallagher head lake and skip the trail and just take NF-160 the whole way too I believe. Parts of tahuya are doable stock. I did a big loop when all I had was a 1.5" lift and stock tires.

I just got the notification from Toyota on the u-joint vibration Customer Support Program. Anyone else?
I don't think there's going to be much they will do, but maybe I'll be more aware of what noises I'm hearing. I've desensitized myself to any sort of driveline noises by now.

Nope, but I’d like to hear more about it. Like you, I’ve just become accustomed to the NVH of this truck. But when others ride/drive in it, like my wife, she says it vibrates very noticeably....

Much better than the god-awful full-on bumpers they were making back in early 2nd gen days and what they had for FJCs.
Still though, how hard is it for companies to remember to make a view port for the winch line??

Anyone ever rebuilt a carb before? I have a shitty old Weber 32/36, 2 cans of carb clean, rags, rebuild kit, and a 6 pack (might make it 12 depending on how it goes), and no idea what I’m doing. Regardless I’m in for a good night!

The crappy things about low pressure systems today is the hazy coating ethonal layers on everything. I have gone through lots of small engine carbs and its never ending.

The problem is the rebuild kit replaced jets and needles ect. But the coating gets so thick that the cast passage ways restrict, like arteries on a mcdonalds lover.
The ONLY way to clean it is A)new carb or B) Sonic clean and a rebuild.
Look into it and use fuel stabalizer if motors sitting more than 2 weeks.

^^^^ go to harbor freight, buy there cheap little sonic cleaner. Disassemble the carb, clean it in the unit.

I use it to clean all my motorcycle parts that fit in it. Totally worth with $$$

I’m thinking a two inch top spacer to level it. What do you guys think?
