Really depends on how you drive. With your set up that seems EXTREMELY low. Even in the FJ with huge tires I averaged 17-18 around town. I minimized my jack rabbit starts though. Made everything pretty smooth to save gas.

well ya i do kinda gas it from stop signs, but most of the time going around town im right around 2-2.5k rpms.

its an 04 with 86k on it now. do I need like a tuneup or something? I know we never did that when I had back home, just changed oil and took it to toyota for scheduled maint.

i was thinking like new plugs and some otherthings. i need to change oil too but since i moved to an apt and lost my garage i dont really feel like doing car work outside :(

Damn that sounds high. I'm pretty sure my shifts are closer to your cruising speeds. Are you a 4cyl?

Spark plugs could be part of it. But it does sound like you need to slow down your starts a bit. This is Corvallis. No reason to accelerate fast. The highest speed limit you see on a daily basis is 35 MPH probably. Owning an STi drives me a little stir crazy. I have to get out of town for good speed blast every now and then.

I'm happy to finally see it! I hate the super cold dry days.

    Pass those out.

Went to the Schwab for an alignment and siping. Alignment was needed in a bad way. Wish I knew more what all the numbers mean.
Not sure if the siping is gonna do much. Ironically, I accidentally spun the tires at a stop light on the way home, lol.

You should start studying some of those "hellaflush" websites. That'll teach you all about alignment.

Downtown parks are getting Destroyed right now. Should make it interesting. I'm waiting for it to freeze and really ice over. The campers will be gone then

sorry meant 1-1.5k when im cruising around town. but even when i accelerate it stays right around 2.5k never goes over. 4speed auto though so im sure thats part of the reason. the engine kinda just feels sluggish. especially from a stop you can really feel like car have to pull itself to start going and the rpms will go up and stay high for a second till the engine shifts. so i guess it shifts late?

:yay: Just ordered 5100's front and back. After the TSF Run, I blew the front passenger shock. Schwab is getting the fronts for me from RCD, and I ordered the rears from DSM. Will use the factory coils, as I just cannot shell out the $$ for the full coilover.

Cannot wait to get rid of the spacer lift and blocks.....
