Bend is a nice place for a Tacoma to grow up at. Mine is from there. Spent its first 4 years and 36K in that city.

Welding the sliders on on Sunday

 

If you're going to go deep enough to get to the throwout bearing, you might as well actually fix something. Putting a new TO bearing on the existing screwed up input shaft isn't going to solve your squeak.

You need the kit below. The whole TO bearing issue is caused by the steel TO bearing scoring the ALUMINUM input shaft and beginning to wobble.

SO, this kit provides a sleeve that goes over the damaged input shaft and allows the TO bearing to ride on steel like it should have from the beginning.

Yeah somewhat. I lose about a gallon per mile..that 20 miles or so makes a difference!!

Add 3.2% more miles to your total mileage when you calculate your MPG and you'll compensate for your larger tire. That is if your running a 285-70-17 and had a stock setup of 265-75-16

My last fill up had 265 miles @ 16.3 gallons. So that's more like 273.5 miles and 16.7 MPG... But without adding the 3.2% its more like 16.3 MPG.... Really not much of a difference. Figure its 10 miles for every 300 your dive.
