Depending on where you were. I remember Portland putting out a notice that chains were required or studded tires on I-5

I think in the city you had to as well

Nope, didn't have to. I helped a guy shovel some old man in an AWD Infiniti that had no tow points and street tires. Stupid old guy floored it every time I told him to ease it forward.

we are at least getting a straight week of ice. I'm developing a nice cold so possibly no fun for me this weekend.

Nope, had enough fire power in the bed of my truck and around our hips to start world war 3. I think he just wanted to check our ID's and get my truck off the grass. Once he saw my buddies suppressor on his .45 a 15 minute conversation began and he just made us drive further into the woods. I guess we could be seen from the highway and some "worried family" called about us.

It was really cold up there too! 35 according to my compass temp thing. Found a couple frozen water falls around 3000FT.

Well that's one way to start a conversation. "Nice suppressor son"

    ?

About two miles west of browns on the left side of HWY 6. There is a plateau about 40 feet high just off the road with a nice clearing. I climbed up and we set up there. No one from the highway could see anything except for the back end of my truck where we were loading up.

It's a scorching 38F in Pendleton, but there is a storm brewing that should bring snow this evening and throughout next week. I'm pulling my front diff later if anyone is bored and wants to help. By help I mean drink beer and watch, lol.
