Do you have any pictures of your engine bay? I'm mainly interested in the intake area. From the pictures I've seen it looks like your MAF sensor is located on the lid of the intake box which could be a problem.

The 4.0 MAF is attached to the air box which is attached to the engine and the breather tube comes out from that. On the 4.0 you can just cut the tube and attach the snorkel to that. On your truck you'd need to add a tube that has a MAF holder built into it.

that's easy enough to do a little fiberglass and a maf holder should do the trick

Depending on how badly you want the snorkel, you could dremel out the factory MAF retainer, glue it to some PVC pipe, and connect the snorkel to your air inlet tube.

do you have any engine bay pictures?

I have no problem moving or machining out a plate to make this work i got some fiberglass skills i could use too to fab up a pipe and a holder so the MAF is centered in the tube

It looks like i can just use the tube from the fender to my air box and be good to go i may need to make something to seal up any gaps but other than that the hole is in the same place on my truck.

I completely spaced out on this. For some reason I forgot that you need the filter element and will need to keep the stock air filter. If you have a tube that comes out from the air box and goes into that hole then yes you can just use a coupler and connect the snorkel to the tube and be done.

that's exactly how it's set up already so just get a coupler and I'm done.

when do you want to do this?
