Anyone stayed at hotels/motels up at/around Mt Hood? I was planning on getting a room at Timberline Lodge for 2 adults on or around the 21st of this month but that is $140 per night!!

I'm sorry but I will never spend that much on a freakin hotel room, especially for one night. Any suggestions?

With this rain we've been getting I'm hoping we're getting some decent snow..planning on going back to Timberline again on the 14th

Forgot to tell you this story about my encounter yesterday with a family and my truck

So it was roughly around 5:50ish pm and I stopped by Char Burger to order me a Chicken Teriyaki rice plate before heading to work. I sit inside and wait as they cook my food. I see a white Nissan Murano pull up and out comes a family of 4(Dad, mom, 2 sons), I see the oldest son(roughly in his mid teens) look at my truck and proceeds to get his dads attention. They walk over towards my truck and looks at the front suspension/bumper. I say to myself "Oh god, not this again!" I get my food, as I walk out they start walking in(Still outside). I get outside and I hear the dad say "Yeah, they're call prerunners." The oldest son "I really like it.."

    Prerunners

"Cool story bro...." Kudos for my "trophy truck"(for those of you who knows the story behind that lol)

Huckleberry Inn at Government Camp is good IMO. You pay 90 on weekdays and 110 on weekends. Good food there too.

Best place I stayed was the lodge in the middle of timberline ne of the board park. No lights, no electricity... not cheap though and hard to get reservations.

Huckleberry inn has the best food on he mountain. Especially at 0300 before a climb.

Are you talking about Silcox Hut? Expensive is an understatement if my memory serves me. Its an awesome experience though I'm sure. I've only stopped in there to get out of the elements when we were climbing

You having $850 in cash that you would give him for a SC when you've been thinking about getting rid of your truck for a million different kind of rigs. :poking:

That is pretty impressive, however I would think pulling a trailer like that while off roading would take a lot of the fun out of the whole experience in a way....at least for me it would.
