You guys planning any trips to Sand Lake or TSF in the next month or two? I need an excuse to get up there and bring this girl along with me.

I would imagine there's too much snow up there right now for my liking... maybe not though.

Browns Camp is closed right now. I'm down for Sand Lake but it would have to be a weekday (Monday-Wednesday).

Anyone have any experience with Dodge Ram 1500 trucks? I'm seeing crazy incentives/discounts on the medium trim with the Hemi. If I can get a brand new Hemi powered truck with the better interior, bigger rims, dual tip exhaust and a long ass warranty - I don't see too many downsides.

Plus, even the pre-redesign trucks (no rear coil suspension) seem to be holding their value decently well if they have the Hemi. (My own CL research)

I've driven a couple for work. They're nothing special but they're not bad.

Yeah. I think it's worth a test drive if I can find the time. I might hate them. But I could use a truck and I much prefer the look of the Dodge over the current Ford and Chevy trucks. I'm a Ford guy at heart but Ford really screwed up the front end of the F-150 this time around.

I've driven the new F-150 as well and the 1500 handled a bit better, and the visibility was better.

The F-150 had a "comfier" interior but that's about it.

Well I'd love to go hit Sand Lake sometime, but my chance will likely be on a weekend.

I'd be careful because Dodge hasn't been doing so well. Also, they got in a habit of releasing several model changes within a year - "do you have the 2006 3/4 year model?" I pay attention more to the diesels, and chevy/ford was head and shoulders above everything on a Ram in a recent test. Only thing that kept the Dodge winning any of the tests was the Cummins engine.

Yeah. It was kind of the thought of the morning. Then I went to pick up my girlfriend for lunch and blasted around a line of traffic that was in my way. I then realized I cannot abandon my Turbo Flat 4 with the 6 speed anytime soon :D

Also, noticed today they no longer include the Dodge trucks on the Dodge website. Not even an obvious link. I searched ram trucks and found a completely separate website called www.ramtrucks.com. WTF? Separating your shitty cars from your shitty trucks isn't going to save you.

So I was driving up that road to Timberline at I slammed into the side rail lol I was in 4wd following a newer Ford Explorer. The road curved left and I tried turning left but it kept slidding so I tapped my brakes once(or twice) and accelerated a bit while my wheels are turning left and BAM!! I hit the side rail and I continue going. Thank god for sliders and my tires sticking out pass my fenders!! No damage :)

    Amazingly empty today!!

Gotta love KM2's...lateral traction sucks for sure. Glad to hear it didn't result in any damage.

    Wasn't blue, doesn't count :D

They are better than before at least! In photobucket you can edit them to resize to a better size. I usually go for 1024x768, which it looks like you have

This was in my inbox today, old track buddy thinks I need to get back to tubro+awd craziness...I think he forgets I have a 95 lbs Lab, a Malamute puppy who will be 85ish lbs and a french bulldog who thinks he is of equal size. I hate all this subie posts though right now, its got me bugging for another little rally car, lol.

    -------------

    Hey,

Here are those pics of my car. Please pass them on. Its 2006 with 53k on it and only 15k on the built motor. I am super ocd everything is done right. Its probably one of the best built STI's around. Here is a list of stuff I've done.

Built motor by AMD w/ stock bore
    JE pistons 8.5 to 1
    all new seals bearings ect....
Blouch Dominator 3 with a billet compressor wheel, custom exhaust housing and welded wastegate
Tial 38mm external wastegate w/ recirc
    deleted/ported TGV valves
    deatsch works 750cc injectors
    walbaro 255lph fuel pump
    custom oil spin tank
    vibrant header ceramic coated
cobb downpipe modified for wastegate, deleted cat and ceramic coated
aquamist 2 stage methenol injection tuned for 75% meth w/ custom tank
custom built front mount intercooler and piping
    cusco motor/trans mounts
    clutchmasters stage 4 clutch
whiteline steering rack, trans brace and rear subframe bushings
revalved sti struts w/ racecomp yellow springs
cobb rear sway bar and mounts
    cobb cat back exhaust
    defi gauges
    version 7 jdm sti interior
custom bezel for the aquamist gauge
sti limited front lip and rear spoiler painted to match
    custom foglight delete covers
    18x8.5 rota rvn's with brand new bridgestone re01s 245/40/18

This is the majority of the stuff done I'm sure there is a bunch missing. If he's intersted just come check it out. It made 390whp and 400ft lbs.

Yeah I like a clean slate as well. I looked for another Evo RS for a while but most are modded, tracked, or beat. Wish Oak Harbor would have never smashed mine.
