Notice I said top gear and not 'we wish we were top gear'.
We use the term hatchback here too. What's your problem with calling it what it is?

Lol I should start calling it an sti station wagon

I found a few M/T Tire reviews that yielded some surprising results.

I may be getting some new tires soon. I've been thinking the Baja Claw MTZs or Nitto Trail Grapplers.....I'm ready for the :crapstorm:

The wifey is running 35" nitto trail grapplers on the dmax, they are a very good tire. They are very similar performance and rubber compound wise to the BFF km1.

They seem to have garnered some good reviews. I like the sizing options, 285/70R17, 285/75R17, or 295/70R17, plus they can be found pretty cheap ($250+/-).

Do you have any mud/snow/ice/rock experience with them?

I see a hatchback as a 2 door. If it has 4... I am certainly calling it a wagon. Subaru dealerships do.

Out of those choices, my mag says MTZ or Trail Grappler. Trail Grappler got a slightly higher score, but their problem comes with the fact that they have a stiff carcass and are a bit heavy. Either tire should be good.

I will tell you for a FACT that trail grapplers have ZERO lateral traction in snow and ice
