He's too emotionally attached - like you said, he saw your heavily modified truck and thinks his SALVAGED TITLE truck - a truck that's been in SEVERE damage OR been deemed a TOTAL LOSS, is better.

Barring that, you can get a pre-gen for beans in comparison. Look at the trucks Bobert was looking at. For $2k and early 80s, you can do quite a bit with an extra $10k without worrying about stupid BS like ABS, electronics, airbags, all sorts of crazy modern stuff. Have you looked at the engine bay of an old truck? You can hide small children in there and they would be comfortable, and you can rebuild the whole thing from NAPA. Those might be in wrecks, but you know why, and you aren't expecting the owner to recoup costs on anything but mods.

If you want to get a more modern truck, just keep your patience, the good ones are out there.

x2. You are going to slow way down once you start thinking about retirement funds and housing costs, which are right around the corner. I thought I was buying a bike this summer, could have done it straight cash, but I sent it all to the gov for my student loan  Hoping I have that bastard paid by end of year.

the tailgate had a little dent or to in the top half.
    the interior was excellent.
on passenger side, bottom of access cab area, there was about a 6" scratch, but it being silver, its hard to see unless u really look. i'd probably give it a 7.5/10 condition wise.

I've got a free oil change at Broadway Toyota. Do you guys think they'll give me any issues for my Budbuilt skid plate or should I take it off beforehand?

This guy is excited for the Warn Winch Training/TSF run tomorrow! I've never wheeled with such a variety of trucks. Usually just all Toyotas, shall be interesting.

Yeah I'm pretty sure a dealership wouldn't let you near their tools. :p
