If you don't draw blood, you're doing it wrong!
Yes, it will be behind the bumper "skin". The fairlead is only recessed about .5" so it would have to be an an extreme angle (70°+) for it to even rub on the bumper. The thing is pretty damn beefy, MIG & TIG welded 6061 T6 Aluminum, fully plated and gusseted. I hope it works out well

Nice! Big group of buddies or big group from a forum? I loved Sand Lake when I went out there for the first time a few months back. Have fun!

Haha you're not invited!! J/k stock should do fine in the types of wheeling we do and there's always bypass as well. IMO ditch the thought of spacers(I've had them before..spacers and blocks) and just wait until you have enough for the OME to do it all at once unless you don't mind doing the work twice. Which OME kit are you getting?

Well you guys can count me out as of right now on the run for Sept. 1st. Have fun though!

Ben, hope you get to use that winch on the TSF run!

I'll try to make the run with you guys :) but I work that day and that's the day of my neices birthday. What kind of uncle would I be to request the day off to go wheeling and not attend her birthday party :p

    Updated the meet thread.

I'm thinking of doing the lesser-traveled trails, or stuff that challenged us before and skipped. If we do that, it's not going to be the most efficient point-to-point trail travel, but this way we get to do stuff that's going to be new. anyway, start talking about it in that thread and go back to BSing here :)

I'm not really worried about anyone banging my girl, or really even hitting on her. Actually I kind of expect her to be hit on at least a little bit, especially among friends.

I have been camping my whole life as well but mostly with family. This is just something unfamiliar that I wanted to get a feel for before we go. I appreciate you guys being cool with it.

Changed all the fluids and the spark plug on my dirtbike yesterday. Feels like a brand new machine. Kind of has me wanting to do the same to the taco now...

Do you work on Sunday the 2nd? Like I said, if I go I will most-likely camp Fri. & Sat. night and we could do another run on Sunday.

Nah, I don't work Sunday. Sounds like a good deal, I'll see what I got going on. Mike has got some good trails planned out from what I saw in the other thread.

    Happy 21st birthday Derek!

Yeah I guess I'm just impatient haha. But I'm gonna go with the complete OME with the nitrochargers and the 885's. But I wanna get a relentless fab bumper so not dead set on which coils I want. Then for the rear It comes with the dakar leaf pack. After my 31" bfg all terrains wear out I'll replace them with 33"s.

Any of you guys or gals have a spring compressor I can use for 10-15 minutes? I need to swap out the Bilsteins on my Toytec Coilovers. They're already off the car. I want to try to find access to a heavy duty compressor before I resort to using the little cheap ones from autozone.

You could always try the "unsafe" way and just use a jack under your lower control arm...
