Congratulations. I got married a few months ago. Take a couple shots (one if you're a lightweight) before the ceremony. You don't think you'll get nervous but you will. I was perfectly fine until I started to walk down the aisle with my mom. It's smooth sailing from there. Kick back and enjoy the party. Don't forget the marriage license or it will be just that... a party. Don't forget the rings either. I left mine at our cabin and had to race back ten minutes before the ceremony to get it.

Thats pretty good right there. I just will add to make sure she feels special. Shake off the inlaws and family... just smile. They dont mean shit compared to ur ladies experience that day.

I didn't have issues with my parents. my wedding was small, and about 7 or 8 hours of commuting to get there, mostly by car, and by boat at the end. when you get to speaking your vows, make sure they are on paper with the priest/minister/officiant/whatever person you have conducting the ceremony. i wrote my own vows about 2 days before the wedding and had them memorized up until i saw my wifey walking to the front. i could barely remember an entire sentence at a time after that.

for the party itself, when food is served, get your food early and eat, otherwise you will be hungry all night because you won't have another opportunity to eat.

there is no need to be nervous. i told myself this and the next part too. this is only making a legal and formal bond for the relationship you already have with her.

if your family is anything like mine, when toasts are being given, expect to be roasted. i had enough to say about my older brother for his toast at his wedding that it really was a nice roast, and that was in front of a lot of traditional chinese people (my sister inlaw is chinese). my older brother repaid me in kind at my wedding.

have fun. this is a big show more for her than you, but it is a day for the both of you, so take advantage of it.

    Half done...

Finally took the time to wire up my lights. It was too hot to finish so the wiring looks like shit. Still have to mount the shut of switch for the winch and a inline fuse for the new buss. The light force lights are a really nice though and almost trump the high beams. More pics to follow

well my little brother made the news. kid is in the front picture for a local news station's report on hempfest in seattle. less than a week ago, my older brother was in town, so him, me, my mom, and youngest brother sat down to tell him he needs to cut out on the weed smoking, especially making it so public. obviously that didn't sit well with him. he made it 5 whole days without getting stoned. i was about to strangle the kid.

DO NOT DRIVE ANY VEHICLE YOU WOULD LIKE TO KEEP NICE

My cousins have literally totaled the wedding vehicle with 'decorations'. I've seen some other messy/smelly situations as well. Drive the shittiest vehicle you can, or rent something.

In other news, I found a duplex to rent - with garage. :rockband:

Great advice. Thanks for that. Yeah we gave the pastor the vows and she is handing them to us. I didn't even try to memorize them.

Thanks man. Hopefully the weather holds

    Looks good

I've been told that my best man has a "killer speech"

Everyone is under strict instructions to not FUCK with the truck today. They know that's my baby

I sometimes wish we would have

turtle bay is really nice. you should try and place some golf if thats your thing. the palmer course is nicer than the fazio course but they are both great. the palmer course is more along the water.

like 15 minutes from turtle bay is a town called kahuku. as you drive by there will be some shacks along side of the road selling fresh shrimp. its really good if you wanna stop and eat some. they also sell really good sweet corn on the cobb.

and of course theres haleiwa a bit further away.

I literally have to pull my e-brake lever all the way up in order for it actually work.

On a side note, I don't know if you guys have seen the show Grimm on NBC, but the show's leading actor (David Giuntoli) sat at the table right next to my girlfriend and I at the Irving Street Kitchen last night. That was pretty cool.
