That's my old 2008 pre-runner that was wrecked. I'll soon have some 285/75/R16 KM2's wrapped on ProComp 7089's though :D

Hmmm... I never had to cut anything to get them to fit on either truck...

This is my current one (the one for non sway bar... while I'm running my sway bar lol...) No cutting either, but I am running the AP front bumper. I removed that tow hook.... un needed with shackles anyway. Install was identical with both the 4x4 and prerunner...

Jake the cutting I mentioned was for my front bumper, not the skid plates. You know the hook in front of the truck? That metal bar piece..that's the piece I had to cut off in order to fit the bumper. Sucks I can't see in person where the mounting goes to but from the looks of the picture..i'm almost certain I no longer have that mounting bar piece :(

For scouting the point is to cover ground and be able to turn around if needed. The more vehicles, the longer it takes and the harder it is to get back out. This thing could dead end.

The road that we are taking is one lane with occasional pull-outs, most of which were not that great to turn around with. You saw how hard it was for us to get off Cedar Tree? I'm not saying it's going to be that hard, but just giving a picture of why you'd want to limit vehicles.

Keep in mind the point of scouting is so that you can return with a full crew :)

Indeed, I'm not the czar of what we can be doing offroad, and I haven't put the lock down on Detroit, lol.

If you guys want to get a second group, I have more trails in the same area, but know that the groups are separately managed and there's no guarantee that we can all meet up at the end.

Right now I don't know who I have available. Zach's got a busted up truck, Joe won't know until day of, Jake has an install that would have to be rushed, and jury's out with Jason. I'd like to have a solid yes from people on Wednesday or else I'm assuming it's not gonna fly.

Mike, I will let you know Tuesday whether I can make it or not.

Zach, are you still able to go with your bent shock tower?

Edit: Jake if you want to get another group going to scout the area I'm all for it..we can put it down on one of our meets later on and make it a day. Like Mike said, there is no guarantee that the 2 groups will meet back up in the end.

    Zach, that sucks man.

As for the 19th... depends if I get the stuff but I'm not going to hold my breath. I still need to get AllPro to get the order through and shipped so... yea. Then install would be this or next friday with metaltech 4x4.

Hey guys, I had to share this. A friend of mine from work had an exciting and terrifying weekend of snowboarding. Him, his girlfriend and our HR manager went snowboarding.

The first picture is the tree that landed in front of them. My co-worker saved them by stopping soon enough. When he reversed, the second tree fell. If he hadn't noticed it and pulled forward in the nick of time, the tree would have killed them by smashing through the roof. Both trees were beautiful, huge, old growth Firs.

Fortunately, it only landed on the back half - right where our HR manager's head would have been if she hadn't have leaned forwarded screaming. The tree landed three inches from within her head and smashed everything behind her. One of the pictures shows the tree and part of his car. His car is hidden between both trees in the first picture. The ODOT guys didn't even notice his car at first. They watched one of them creep towards the car because he just knew they were dead. Thank god they are all fine.

This happened on Willamette Pass. Can you think of a better description of FREAK accident? This is breath taking.

No, it was kind of a trap. A tree dropped in front of them and he was able to stop without hitting it. Although some debris might have fallen off it. And then he saw another one falling behind him so he pulled forward toward the tree that had already fallen. He pulled just far enough that the second tree didn't crush the passenger compartment
