Or you could pay the 7 bucks for the ROM manager. Get the updates instantly when they come out and keep having fun.

That being said. I have not rooted my nexus. I had rooted my D1, but just havent done the nexus yet

True, you could pay for it. I'm just a cheap ass and it updates all the time with no problems :)

What did you use to root your nexus?

Haven't done the Nexus. Honestly, the only reason that I rooted my D1 in the first place was to get rid of the shitty VZW apps that come with the updates

Whoops, sorry about that nexus typo. Yea the VZW crap on phones is outrageous. With all those gone battery life and memory get much better. Internal flash memory on my phone caps out around 850mb. Stock I was able to use like.. 200mb, now 700ish. Ive seen some pretty sweet roms for the nexus, you should do it lol

Once you root. VZW will not send auto updates. You will get the update notifications through ROM manager

Last night, I finally updated my broke-ass Captivate to 2.3.5 KK4 and rooted to delete all the bloatware and enable non-market apps....Now I have to install CWM and disable the stupid AT&T block for my Wi-Fi hotspot

I've been debugging a report that takes about 15-30 minutes to run per test. I'm really hitting the boredom wall today.

I like Ninkasi, but all their shit is ultra hoppy. Got some Sleighr in the fridge right now.

I had Abyss last year. Isn't it a different recipe every year?
