    :p Just kidding! Crazy to think when I bought my truck in 09 it only had 25k and now I am almost at 90k.

    Some maintenance/work I need to do once my truck is paid off here shortly:

    - Change lower ball joints
    - Change upper ball joints
    - Change uca bushings
    - Change bushings for new(used) set of rear leaf springs
    - Get new set of AAL
    - Change spark plugs
    - Change front/rear differential fluid
    - Change transfer case fluid
    - Transmission fluid
    - Brake fluids
    - Sand my sliders down and repaint them
    - Take apart my 3rd member and axle shaft to figure out wtf is going on inside there

    ..and I'm sure there are a few I'm missing.

    FUN TIMES!

    EDIT:

    Forgot to add
    - Rebuild my coilovers
    - Get new rebuild-able, rear shocks

    lol, thanks Joe! If you do want to do the Heated Mirrors, I just did my Dad's truck last weekend and it took about 5 hours. I pretty much got it down to a science now, so let me know. We can work something out :D

    Going to be leaving for Dutch Harbor on Friday, probably be up there for at least 3 months.

    I've got an AGM battery in my truck, at the very least I'm going to disconnect the battery. Should I get a trickle charger as well??

    If you are going to disconnect the battery why do you need a trickle charger? I don't see a battery that it fully charged dying in 3 months

    A SLAB (sealed lead acid battery) like your's can sit for a while without charging it. Make sure it sits level and in a dry place above 50 degrees. It will most likely be pretty low when you get back but just place it on the trickle charger for about 24 hours before you install it. Shouldn't be much of a problem. You might get some sediment buildup on the bottom of the cells but if you completely discharge and recharge quickly a few times that will help get that out of there. Batteries like this sit in storage for a long time. They usually only have about a 3-6% self discharge rate per month so if its fully charged when you leave I bet it will still turn your starter.

    Excellent! That's the kind of answer I was looking for.

    I'll probably get a trickle charger and just leave it out in the garage, ready to hook up when I get back. I know that the retailer where I purchased the battery from was pretty adamant about not letting the voltage drop below 10.2V, and be in a sub-freezing environment. Basically, the batteries will freeze and expand - thus severely damaging the cells and voiding any warranty. I'll put it in the kitchen just to ensure it's in a "relatively" warm environment.

    I'm sure you know much, much more about this than I do.

    We "Boost Charge" ours every 28 days while being stored but even at 28 days it doesn't loose any bit of a charge. Especially not down to 10.2VDC. He is right though about cold temps and letting it get that low. The battery would be worthless if it got that low and sat for any given time.

    Had a bank of 12V and 24V on the last boat I engineered on.. No more checking water levels in each cell, and hearing hydrogen offgassing.
