LT kits look awesome on FJs! And yeah there are endless rear bumpers/tire mounting systems for them too. Guys say it's bad to have a 33X12.50 spare mounted on the stock spare mount on the door, but I don't want to pay for one of those bumpers that has a swing out mount on it! At least not yet... :hungry:

The only suspension stuff I have planned is to buy new UCA's so I can install my Bilstein 5100's sitting in my garage and get the ride improved and alignment correct. The FJ is my DD so it's about as extreme as it's going to get. My fun money is going towards my 1987 4Runner project. Currently sitting in my garage waiting for a new motor

Just an all-new 22RE with a hot cam. I don't want to go as extreme as to put a V8 in and have to upgrade the whole drivetrain. I would rather focus on making it sweet and reliable and useful offroad. Keep the FJ in good shape while someone else still owns a large chunk of it ;)

Probably from S&J Engines. They are one of the cheapest options and seem the most legit. They actually start the engines and offer a 7 year warranty after you send them a CPU report once it is running to ensure it's not running rich or lean.

 Yeah dude. LCE is no doubt the most badass place to get yota motors. I however am looking more in the $1500 range.

EDIT: I did look further through the catalog and saw their long blocks for $1800. But I would prefer to get it from S&J since they are just in Washington and any issues that might come up would be a lot easier to deal with rather than having to ship back to LCE.

omg....i just got to tahoe. i left corvallis at 6am. over 10 hours. stopped for gas twice, and stopped for food once.

I5 was crazy snowy. once i hit nor cal the road was covered and all the cars where at a stop. i got onto the CA89 or something....the exit wasnt even visible. snow was blowing and the ground was not even touched. i was the only car on the road for a while until i hit a LONG line of cars. we ended up going 25mph for about 75-100 miles because it was so icy/snowy.
