Fedex smartpost is the biggest crap ever. My tools have been in Olympia since 7am and it's going to take until Wednesday or Thursday to get the last 8 miles.

Bobert - Holy hell those are huge! I went there as a child and remember them being big! But thought maybe because I was a young'n.

Mike - Raise some hell! It's not like it would have been a hassle for them to throw it in one of their routes, right? Sucks!

    ...I'm gonna wreck it!

Just got back this afternoon from some spring break adventuring this past weekend. The gf has an uncle with a place in Grants Pass that we stayed at. On the way down we visited the Wildlife Safari in Winston and Crater Lake on Saturday and the Redwood National Park on Sunday.

Here's is a very picture short, quick write-up.

So, I'm not the biggest fan of zoos. Really bothers me to see animals that should be free roaming so severely confined. This place was significantly better for a lot of the animals imp. It was a drive thru set up where much of the wildlife, expect for the monkeys and big cats where just walking around including the freaking rhinoceros and giraffe! We sat in the car a good 10 minutes while the giraffe walked around us the car behind us. Had a much better selection of big game critters than the zoo in Portland. Included some exotic critters along with elk and buffalo. Not going to lie, my trigger finger was twitchy like nuts a few times. Supposedly there is an elephant car wash for a few dollars. Definitely have to do that when I go down with the pickup haha. Almost talked an emu into our car. Hilarious watching the gf freak out, she is not a fan of birds.

Visited this really cool wood art place in Cave Junction on the way to the Redwoods. Expensive stuff, but really cool to look at. Some serious skill involved.

The Redwood National Park...oh my goodness...no words. I eventually gave up taking pictures. No point in trying to do it justice.

I highly suggest all three haha. You should be able to drive the loop around the crater by then. I think only the west entrance is open this time of year. Still an incredible view even if you only get it from one point. I definitely plan on visiting all three again. Really need to get a better camera and a pano lense before going to the redwoods again. Really want to spend a couple days there. Unbelievably huge trees.

Bobert - careful, those geese are typically mean as hell

Joe - Can't complain about it because it's a new shipping plan that Fedex/USPS have that takes the place of typical FedEx ground. Works great for the companies since FedEx can ship to one location instead of going door-to-door, and USPS has something to do since no one is doing snail mail anymore. Neither of them care about the customer having to eat extra wait time because they figure the customer was too cheap to buy 2nd day shipping, and they can force the extra $12 - $20 in shipping costs this way.

If I have the option, I choose UPS all the way. I can have them hold packages, pick up a missed ship, and do it all up until 7PM.

I haven't installed it yet. I don't like that chrome so I am waiting for it to warm up a bit so I can sand it down a bit and paint it black :) It's small compare to other toolbox(12") and I wish it came with slots and/or trays for better organizing.

LOL Rob you're funny. Aren't they all like that? I don't mind it much, kinda like techno IMO. I think they play really well with videos of mountain biking or something extreme.

I have a day off tomorrow and I'm seriously considered using the couple cans of plasti dip I have in the garage to do my wheels black. I kind of want a different look.
You think I can get away with not taking them off and painting them? My jack and everything is at my parents house in The Dalles :(

You're gonna spray your breaks. Which I don't think would be a good idea

I have a plastic role I was thinking I could tarp off the brakes and suspension etc.. I just wasn't sure if somebody has tried it and it was more trouble then what it's worth.
