non lethal ammo, might as well use a bat imo.

if a person is in a dark place and is robbing your place, apt at that, I don't want to know the dark place they will discover after 10yrs and a nice injury.

Does anyone know of a junkyard that has a gen2? I need two corner light plugs (piece the light actually plugs into and the harness plugs into the other end).

Let me introduce you to the secret ways of the junkyard dog. Searches junkyards nationwide...

Yeah that non lethal ammo is junk. I took a bean bag round to the gut at 5 feet for $20 on a bet. It stung a little, but would not have stopped anyone over 10 years old. Go shoot some pumpkins, even birdshot is pretty nasty...

A firearm mounted flashlight wouldn't be a bad idea if you're worried about trying to aim in the dark. I would take that along with a light shotgun load over a bat any day. If you have to close to within arm's length to deal with an intruder you are getting in sketchy territory. Always want to kept the odds as tilted in your favor as possible.

+1 for intimidation factor of a pump. I know a couple cops that have claimed they literally made someone poop their pants just being surprised by the sound of a pump. Just because a firearm has to be presented in a situation doesn't necessarily mean it will need to be fired.

Yeah, the socket. Somehow mine fell out of the housing at one point and were dragging on the tires (no clue how). One is completely gone, the other is chewed up with rubber on it.

I think Pick and Pull in Portland had a Tacoma, but not sure if it was first or second gen.

Good to know, about the non lethal shotgun ammunition. Thanks, all. I've never used it, but I also don't use the shotgun for home defense. I always see that stuff in the catalogs, I figured it must have some validity! I've got a light on most of my firearms, including the shotgun. I think it'd be a more appropriate defense weapon sans stock. Maybe that'll be a nice mod for the future, a folding pistol grip deal. And x2 on the authoritative sound of the pump shotgun chambering a round. Definitely a good tactical advantage.

On an unrelated note, I made it to the top of Mt. Pilchuck yesterday. What a view! Oh and that NF road 42 has some sweet spots to wheel at for those rock crawlers, hill climbers and more beginner/intermediate folk

    My lunch spot:

Didn't see any 2nd Gens at Pick N Pull anywhere when I searched their inventory a little bit ago. All I saw were late 90s 1st Gens :notsure:

    Turned out great Jake!

Thanks.. A little on the fence about it being up high.. Gotten mixed opinions on that issue. Not a huge deal to section the verticals and drop it down a few inches; think I'm going to run it as it sits and see how I like the feel. Don't do a lot of highspeed/off camber anyhow.

You should have said something to me. You just about drove past my house on the way to Pilchuck. I am about a mile and a half from the intersection of hiways 9 & 92.

That dragons breath looks like something to have out in the country for sure as a deterrent.

Damn, well if only I knew!! Say have you explored much after the rock pit a few miles NF-42? If you go back there are some rock crawling hills and then farther back there's turns off to the left that are more narrow but have a ton of trees on either side hugging the road.... looked pretty cool but downed (thin) trees made me not want to get stuck alone out there

When I was a kid down in Key West, my grandfather kept his 12ga loaded with rock salt for home defense. Had to use it once on a guy that broke in. Shot him in the ass. He ran out and was arrested at the hospital getting the salt removed. I might still have the newspaper article around here somewhere.
Though with all the crooks winning lawsuits for being injured while committing a crime these days, I keep mine loaded with 00. If someone is going to walk into my house with criminal intent, they will be leaving in a body bag. Less headache.

I've always heard about rock salt, but I thought it was just kinda an old myth! I suppose through history, folks have shot just about everything out of shotguns.
