    Huh. I know there’s some tolerance issues with our trucks - my bumper needed a few washers to fit. Did somebody install body lift and not tell you?

    Most armored bumpers have 2 sets of holes. 1 for standard height and 1 for a 1" bodylift. My guess is that OP mounted the bumper in the wrong set of holes.

    I dont have a pic handy, but when my hitch is in my HC Brute Force bumper my plate rests at an angle on the hitch. I haven't been pulled over yet (knock on wood), and leave it in pretty much all the time. You can read it from behind, but it's not super easy unless you are looking down from a higher vehicle.

    With @Wyckedan lightened photo, it's clearly a DB lift. Notice the DB circled in red. However, what is circled in blue? I'm not overly familiar with DB lifts. I thought these were leafs originally.
