Several years ago I did a mountain biking tour in Iceland's backcountry. That island is full of so many built D110s. A four wheeler's paradise. Weirdly, all the Ford Expeditions that disappeared from our streets seemed to have made it to Iceland and were put on 37's on up, in case you were wondering where they went.

The Defender has always been on of my favorites and at the top of my "If I could have any vehicle" list.

I saw a new one the other day and it's really a shame what they did to it with the redesign. I had to do a triple take to confirm it was actually a Defender. The new one is no longer a burly ass safari vehicle but instead just another unibody soccer mom mobile. They totally cut the balls off it.

true but at least with the bronco sport Ford also came out with the real Broncos well.

it’s not like the new blazer that’s only a unibody crossover SUV

Interesting that Rangerover is the topic of today. I was just driving through Burlington and someone must have really pissed someone off. They broke the emblems off the back in such a manner it reads (modified R in a F) A G (modified E into a =) ROVER. Right now the R is broke completely off but you can see where it was hit with a knife or a chisel. I didn’t take a pic because by they time I realized what I was looking at it was turning off on a side street.

I had a built up discovery 2 for a few years. It was awesome off road. But because they are so unreliable, I was making myself crazy about potential problems. Sold it and got my first gen taco that I no longer have.
The disco looked awesome and I miss its off road capability some times. But that’s about it.

Sorry to the guy who waved at Buena Vista. Had my eye on the cyclist in front of me. Caught it just too damn late to reciprocate. My apologies.
