Shit, you'd go broke trying to mock up an 87" piece of plywood first.

Seen multiple people alluding to this lately... are we talking plywood being up 25% over a year ago or something nuttier like 300%?

I was in the Issaquah Home Depot a couple of weeks ago and saw 3/4" for $103 a sheet, I'm not sure what it is now, needless to say I didn't buy any. Even the 4x2 "project boards" were $25 a piece.

Plastic is also way up. I go through a ton of polycarbonate for work and it's impossible to get reliably and expensive. The plastic I used to build my drawer was ridiculous

I went through my commercial account for the PVC board, through Clear Cut Plastics, the starboard was through Tap Plastics.

Starboard. It can take an almost limitless amount of abuse. The pvc foam board is strong and light but easily damaged throwing stuff into the bed. Both were almost 4x the cost of wood though

Got any interest in this piece I’m trying to unload?

Smoked tint, radiused corners, beveled edges. Plastic film is still on both sides. I bought it for a camper window and the place cut it 10 inches too short. I have literally nothing to do with it.

No problem. I’ll probably use it for something eventually.

Ok, I'm sick of you chumps not spotting me...

Do you wanna play a game?

    upload_2021-4-24_9-35-18.jpg

I've been toying with the idea of playing a version of capture the flag. I'd create a new thread for this, but basically...

I'd start by mounting this flag on the bed of my truck.

    20210424_093319.jpg
    20210424_093324.jpg

It would be mounted in a way that it can be easily removed by hand. If someone were to spot my truck, parked with the flag, they would "capture" the flag and put it on their own truck, until it was captured by someone else.

Of course there would be rules, like you have to make it easily removable and allow people to take it, if they spot it. Also, if you previously had it, you can't be the first to take it back.

I think it would be fun to see where this flag ends up, and possibly track its progress across the country.

If this is a stupid idea, feel free to shit all over it. I won't take it personally.

If you don't run a tonneau, I'm thinking a clamp that grabs onto to side rails... if you have a tonneau, maybe fold it up until someone captures it.
