Oregon and Washington Truck Spotting

Redmond used to have a front plate Nazi and he would sit on Willows every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon giving out front plate tickets during the summer. He was getting away with it for quite a while till he pulled over and harassed one of the local judges. Judge called the Chief of Police and it abruptly stopped.

when I got my Tacoma the plate bracket was missing off the arb bumper and I was stopped by an officer way up in the snowline, who mentioned I need to have my plate pulled it off the dash, and handed it to the officer, said he could find holes to mount it id be glad to install. he handed it back and told me to take care of it. i now have a mount on the front but its to keep crap off my winch

You’d think they’d enforce it more cuz of the pay lane cameras but I haven’t been bothered. Like Bert I keep mine in my glovebox with a screwdriver and will say I’m waiting on the bracket from the dealership. But really if you happen to study oncoming traffic on a 2 lane road, upwards of every other 10th vehicle has no front plate so we’re not the only ones without it. If someone was to bother me about it I’d say what about all the drug addicts stealing and leaving garbage everywhere? Bother them. I’d be more concerned about a burned out taillight than my front plate missing.

 

124th Kirkland yesterday. I think he caught me creeping on him as I went by lol. He gave a big thumbs up and a big grin as I went by

 

The pay Lane cameras can get you from behind too, those things are wicked accurate

Always see this Tacoma down by Lowell.

 

Puyallup South Hill and saw this 2nd gen on the road with his hazards on. Front of his driveline let go, got it strapped up and 4hi to get out of the busy road he was sitting in and to safety. Just a kid trying to make it home from school. It appears he may need a new driveline now too. I wish i was in my taco and could have helped him more but at the store with my wife in her 4Runner
