Sounds like lots of places are pretty bad this morning. no serious bad news from any of my friends and family so far. Hope it stays that way.

That’s pretty crazy. It was dead calm at the house. IMG_8604.jpgWe were in this little pocket of calm all night. I had a tree blow down Saturday out in the yard on a normal regulation stormy November day. Maybe it was our little blessing after having the Dam evacuation alarm go off Monday morning and scare the ever living fuck out of everyone that heard it. Max and I were past Grandy Lk in 6 minutes of it going off. I was walking out the door heading to work and it went off. I told Max to get the dog and get in the truck. About 49 minutes later we got the emergency text saying it was a malfunction and everything was fine.

It was pretty surreal to be walking to the truck and hear an alarm going off in the distance. I was thinking that’s weird must be a house fire alarm or burglar alarm. Then I hear a voice say evacuate now and head to higher ground. It was like the twilight zone. I think we were so fast at leaving we beat everyone up Baker Lk rd. There was nobody out and about. I kept asking Max is this real and kept the hammer down until I saw we hit 500’. I only had 1x service on my phone so I didn’t know WTF was going on until 7:30 when I got to a spot with service and made a call out.

I was just talking with some coworkers about how it's flood season now when we got the emergency alert. Pretty weird way to start the morning

If and when the dams fail I’ve been told Birdsview has 7-8 minutes before 120’ of water comes if there’s a total dam collapse. Depending on the failure. Diablo is 22 minutes. Glacier peak and Mt Baker also are a threat.

Is it just me or does it seem like the kid doesn’t realize he has 4wd? Unless both drive shafts ripped off. My old driveway was worse than that lol.
