Oregon and Washington Truck Spotting

Was his last name Merrit? We had a that dickhead around here then he transferred down to the Blue Mts and I ran into him there. Dude was a wannabe Game Warden that should have better spent his time figuring out who was dumping trash, dumping vehicles and cutting trees down for firewood and left the people lawfully enjoying the outdoors the fuck alone.

Yeah my dad got a ticket for the fish and game tag not hanging off the mirror and laid on the dash. Seems petty…the explanation was they couldn’t read the license plate number written on the thing, I doubt you could read it if it was hung and it was laid on the drivers side of the dash. Seems they’re looking for easy revenue sometimes.

 

looks like it needs a thrust alignment, that front track looks offset to the driver, unless that angle is what made that.

 

hell, I don't have anything hanging from my mirror, my snow permit is on my dash, and my park pass. use to have in my 95 Tacoma a small plastic tab that was jammed into my window that I kept all that in. Thought I've gotten in less "trouble" with forest service guys when they see the Gambler 500 stickers now they usually stop to BS when they see some of taking pictures of trash and scribbling down GPS cords if we dont have reception for the app.

My buddy ended up throwing the tickets away after paying them so officer unknown. Tall, skinny, maybe 40ish and real wanna be macho trooper. Drives the grey truck.

To my knowledge there is at least two officers that patrol that area. The other officer who drives the black truck was cool af the two interactions I had with him. He was more concerned with the homemade meth bus and heaping pile of garbage piled in the pull off they staked their claim on. Gave us his number and said if we see anything sketch or out of the ordinary to call his cell.

Ah yes... 522, one of the worst stretches of highway in northwestern WA I've been on. Trying to get to Stevens Pass a couple of years ago, made the mistake of attempting this route during the day.
