I put 149.5 miles on the Teryx during the week. My wife spent some time on the new-to-her Grizzly she just picked up, too. We spent the week working from home at our Condo at Winchester Bay, and just rode after we were off work. This was the first time I drove the Tacoma on the sand for any extended period of time. Normally it was just towing the trailer out to a camp spot.

I'm lame. I'll even admit it. Not dragging out the wife and (under 10yo) kiddos out in meh, though.

Nah man.... just tell'em the next one is mandatory or else you'll be stuck with beer duty

I think your kiddos would've enjoyed it though, since it was just us and admittedly my first time out driving on the dunes, we took it pretty easy and slow

As @YF_Ryan said, we "got out for the 'gram"

There's always "next time" anyways man

I know this is kind of short notice but who would be up for the 3rd or the fourth. Was kind of hoping to have finished my 3.4 swap on my 4runner by now but havent made much progress so it still is only going to be my tacoma.

Darn... Can't make it... I'll be at the in-laws for the weekend of the 4th. Wife and I have talked about trying to get back down there though. Haven't camped on the dunes yet this year :(

Had to sell my 17 Tacoma for a tow rig in order to pull my new home. Still here for a bit to keep in touch.
Still want to go camp on the dunes but must host a 4th party... Missing out again...

Count me in! Have always wanted to rally at the dunes. Have a couple small ones here in Wa (moses/juniper) but grew up riding bikes at Sandlake and Florence. Havent been in almost 10 years!

After taking the drive around Florence with @TheOnlyPajooned , I'd highly recommend hitting up Coos Bay instead. Just a suggestion!

Much larger riding area in Coos Bay. Especially if you're in a truck. Florence has alot of big steep dunes that are sketchy enough on my moto with a paddle tire, eff that with the Tacoma. The main thing Florence has going for it is the fact that it's an hour closer to Portland.

exactly. just not as much good area to drive with the capabilities of a standard 4x4. Coos has much more manageable dunes, less drop offs, and way fewer random holes you could crash into! hahaha.

True, I do remember Florence being a dream (and not a dream when you dont see the million razorbacks) on a bike haha.

I was on a quad, took my buddy for his first time on the sand. He was racing all over. I chased him down, said slow down and follow me or you will die riding like that. within 100 feet i drove off a dune, racked my nuts and he narrowly missed me as he fell over trying to stop, lmao.
