I'm really excited to get it going! Camper shell and bed platform worked fine when I was single but being 6'3" it was always alittle cramped and is pretty much a no go with the girlfriend since I have to lay diagonal. I'm hoping to have mine together by the 4th of July. The Covid stay at home right now is helping knock out my other projects I needed to finish before diving into the camper. Put new shocks and struts on the girlfriend's VW last weekend and I'm in the middle of my hammer hanger install right now. Then I just gotta burn together my new welding cart and it's go time for the camper.

I'm plan on installing a diesel parking heater this fall and heated camper is going to be a game changer come ski season!

 

Just need someone to make an offer on my Wildernest and I'll start my build too.

I'm pretty sure my buddy sent me the link to your Wildernest yesterday... He just got a RTT for his Ford Ranger and was dreaming of sticking that Wildernest on there. Would prolly look pretty good!

 

Nice set of rigs, and I bet it would! Showing it to someone tomorrow, the price is wigglier for TW members FYI. But more for the Ford. Just kidding, brand rivalry is so high school.

 

I did send him your TW post with the lower price for members, lol. So yeah... I tried. His ranger is quite the rig. He uses it a LOT for search and rescue and has built it pretty much all by himself. He's my go to guy for helping me setup my truck. It would still be stock if it weren't for him suggesting my wife and I attend the NW Overland Rally a few years ago.

 

Well thanks a bunch for doing that. Appreciate the built not bought route, lots of work but pays off like most things that don't come easy. Nice, was that rally in Plain? I don't know much about the history of the event, maybe it's always been there.

 

Yeah, it was the one in Plain. We headed up there with a pretty much stock Tacoma, a cooler, and a ground tent.

2018 NWOL Rally - Seeing all the cool stuff that first year definitely woke us up to the ... lifestyle?... and it also opened up our wallets and pretty much dumped them out.



We might go back to the Rally in another year or two, but now that we are as setup as we are, we'd rather be out away from the crowds. And yes, it is a CROWD.

That is one of my biggest pet peeves with society nowadays. If you give someone your word, follow through with it. No longer is anyone good for that or a handshake (COVID lol). But why can't people be fair, be honest, etc...instead we have a bunch of tire kickers and cocksuckers

Anyone looking for 3rd Gen leaf packs? I bought some used and don't need them.

1. Toytec 1.5 in add a leaf. It's on a set of stock replacement leaf springs Toyota replaced bc the old ones were squeaking. (Service bulletin from Toyota about the issue) They only have about 10k miles on them (according to original owner).
2. Leaf pack from a 2017 Tacoma Pro with 11k miles (according to original owner).

$60 per set/pair?
