It's awesome! I'm taking it out for the first time next week. So far I've just aired it out in the driveway. I had it temporarily mounted to some Yakima crossbars but then my Voodoo rack came in. Here are a bunch of pics:

I've used those Thule racks on my FJ many times but I actually just mounted them on the Tacoma yesterday. They are great mounts and I've had them for about 8 years now. It's a very tight fit with my storage box in the middle and the awning on one side but seems like they should work perfectly!

Haha thanks man, I'm sure we could set something up!

It was just over 4k after tax. I expected it to be a little under 3k when they first announced it so I was a bit disappointed that they jacked the price up to almost the same amount as the bigger skycamp tent. I wanted a smaller tent that would be easy to transfer between the back of the Tacoma and the top of my FJ, so I was willing to pay for it.

man, I just showed this to my wife, and she shot it down. I need to find a way to store a kayak easily, thought about the rack, then the foam blocks, but a rack would be nice, then i was like well.... time to add a rooftop tent but I do like the idea of them, how fast you can set them up and so forth. Just would suck out camping, getting wasted and having to get out of it to take a piss. But I could always put a catheter in.

Nope... my father has 2 of them. Both Alpha's with a V8.

Here's one of them, after we installed a winch.

Ah, or did they initially not come with a v8? For a while I thought only the H2s had the v8 and the h3s were 5 bangers. The last time I drove one was like 2004 lol.

I've seen alot of these on landscaping/lawn mowing service trucks. I think their main purpose is to not have to put a tarp over the bed when it's filled with leaves and grass clippings - that's how I've always seen them used. Otherwise pretty damn useless.
