That's a nice XJ, it'd be real nice at about $6k instead.

This dude's insane too. I'm looking for a second vehicle, a 4Runner would be great, prices are ridiculous

can you post pics of why this offset hole is needed with the ARB bumper compared to other bumpers? Other members have explained it to me but I’m a little slow and need pics

You say that now. But, when you get a canopy, you will be kicking yourself in the nuts for not getting the set when you had the chance. Get it while you can especially when you aren't dishing out a bunch of cash for it.

I speak from experience. I basically had the exact same Jeep, but with 94k miles and completely unmolested. I paid $6k and sold it (less than 24 hrs) for $5500... hos price is beyond stupid.

Why the change of heart? I did that exact same thing with a Cherokee. Bought it for 6, sold it for 5500 3 days later. Decided I needed a truck haha

I owned mine for about 2 years... I eventually realized that you either have a car payment or a car repair payment. I finally had my fill of fixing it when I had to cancel a hiking trip to replace the radiator. Instead of hiking in the North Cascades for 4th of July weekend, I went car shopping.

    20170703_202704.jpg

Edit: and for clarification... I loved the Jeep. It was actually what I wanted for my first car at 16, but couldn't afford it. In the time I owned it, it was a great rig... just required regular repairs, as would be expected from a 20 year old vehicle.

No plans for a canopy either. Last truck I had for 10 years with folding tonneau, already have a tonneau on the Tacoma. What is in the plans is a suspension as soon as I sell the wheels/tires.

@Wyckedan had some nice pics, but I thought I'd share this crappy drawing, too! ARB bumper uses the four holes (white circles below) to mount a winch FEET FORWARD. They also use the same lower holes to mount the fairlead. If you have a standard fairlead, the opening denoted in red below is mostly/partially blocked by the bumper itself. With an Offset fairlead you have the opening in grey below. If you were to use the non-offset it'd mount up, but you'd be cutting your rope against the bumper darn quick.

Unfortunately you can't just drill new holes in between the feet mounting holes, since the base of the winch is tight against the steel bumper vertically between holes on each side, inside the bumper. This leaves no room for any mounting hardware (nut on inside of bumper).

Here's a pic I pulled online, you can see how low the bottom holes are.

Anyone interested in a 270 degree awning. The manufacturer is unknown. Can be setup by one person but easier with two people. Comes with all support poles and guidelines. I bought it from a member here but its a bit long for my 5' short bed set up. If it don't sell in a week will post up on craigslist but would much rather not deal with that
    Price $285
Picture is from the member I bought it from.

I had a tan one. Traded it for a VW Jetta. A week later, the Jeep used engine parts to put a hole through its hood.

Can I see a picture on how that mounts? I'm interested, just need to see how easy or complicated mounting it to my setup would be
