When you find the thread, let us know. I've a 2010 and the creeping down the road while scouting mode would be handy. If no one else nibbles, I'd love to buy the unit.

If you find out the brand you can check the website to see if they are listed as 05+ or gen specific.

Is that stuff guaranteed not to chip or flake for life??? It only cost me $80 to have my diff housing sandblasted and coated.

I ended up ordering a pair of the Phillips Pro150 H11 bulbs. If they test poorly, I'll grab a pair of the Tungsram/GE Megalight Ultra +130 when they're back in stock to replace them and move the Phillips to my fogs.

It's kinda like the response my old boss would give when customers asked about a guarantee pertaining to slabs we poured. "guaranteed against fire and theft, but guaranteed to crack". No one's gonna steal it, and it'll still be there after your house burns down, but concrete will surely crack where it wants and usually not at the cut joints or reliefs used to prevent it.

I don't know of any PC shop that would guarantee chip free for life especially on an application such as sliders that see lots of foot traffic and mostly designed to protect rocker panels from rocks stumps and anything else you can drive over.

Got the Phillips plugged in. Just based on my full daylight, staring into the bulbs impression... the Phillips 150's seem brighter than the GE 130's. Of course, this means very little in the way of actual light output, but first impressions seem positive. I should have a better idea on my drive home from work in the dark.

That's the "we don't want to powdercoat these" price...

I bet that they prefer shipping out raw sliders, as the buyer can't complain about nicks and dings as a result of shipping. So instead of not offering PC, they just make it cost prohibitive, knowing that most buyers will opt out.

Here is what I came up with:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...ctor-headlights.589465/page-172#post-24327146

Keep in mind when comparing a new bulb to a used bulb, halogens dim 20-30% over their life so the used bulb will be at a disadvantage.

Yeah if they're shipped raw but any reputable shop sand blasts the parts before prime and powder

It’s like $16 for two cans of spray on bed liner. If you have sliders your gonna smash them and scrape off the Pc. If you don’t, you don’t need sliders. These were PC. DF90421A-CD6E-491E-A2F7-59B15F9A5B7D.jpgThen with a little flapper disc action and $16 055F4F31-21F2-42BD-BC6E-3DE482F4BF44.jpg

All this talk about high priced rock sliders. I might just have to sell mine from my 3rd gen DCSB.
