I built one. Was about 10 beers in when I pressurised it with a bike pump. The fill plug blew out with only about 10psi. Nearly took my head off and ended up on the neighbors roof two houses down. My wife made me buy the waterport the next day.

I used a crappy tension plug where you use a little wingnut to tighten it on the home made jobber. . It did not secure very well. The waterport unit you can really pressureize.

I like mine a lot. If for nothing else they are great for hosing off muddy boots or a dirty dog/kid

    It's complicated.
On the 2019 Tacoma, the OEM panel is a single piece of molded plastic; alterations of any sort will require cutting.

    Sadly, not much.
I really appreciate mine. Have it mounted on the inner rail, but it sits flush on my bed platform, so not too much torque on the rail. Use for cleaning dog paws and boots, washing camp dishes, and near the fire when camping in the summer during dry season. It is perfect for post surfing: rinsing off sand, saltwater from wetsuit, board, and myself! It's not warm, but it is warmer than the WA coast:)
It has not disappointed in the year I've had it. I thought about the road shower, but didn't like having mounted on my roof, so this is a good trade off for me. When I go on longer trips, I bring a bike pump (don't have onboard Air Compressor), and that has been perfect. I don't use for drinking water, carry a separate for that.

    parts and stuff
I replaced my headlights and retrofit with a new set.
Would anyone want the old projectors, bulbs, ballasts, and harness? They are still in the old light housing but could be cut out easily. The housings/lenses are junk. Everything works minus one of the LED halos that’s mounted behind the shroud.
