Picked these up today. @ericmtnbkr it was great to meet you today and bullshit about Tacomas / beer!

Eric hooked me up with some amazing beer he brewed. I have never had it before today, but Chainline Brewing Company makes some great beer :D I will be on the look out for it. If you are in the Seattle area and like good beer, grab some.

Other than the fact it looks goofy af, is kinda just a tent with extra steps, it's kinda cool

Biggest downside is paying the price of a rooftop tent to mount your rooftop tent not on the roof.

ask my wallet about my modifications...
I see your point, why not have a quick setup ground tent, might even be faster and definitely cheaper.
I'm still processing all the variables and have yet to input the Estrogen factor. That in of itself may be the game decider!!

Edited to say you all make me laugh, never change!

For the cost of that + the cost of the (non) rooftop tent you would be a good part of the way towards a pop up tent trailer which would be superior in every way

Not if you're planning on wheeling with it. Also towing a trailer in general is more of a chore than just driving the truck. Also lots of people don't have the space to keep a trailer around. Also a trailer needs maintenance while an RTT needs almost none.

So hardly superior in 'every way'. That said I think the hitch carrier thing is dumb. Like why would anyone ever want that over a short bed rack?

my assumption would be no but I don’t really know. Likely anything could be modified to work but probably wouldn’t be worth the time to do it when the sell one that works

This looks like one of those fake products you see companies post on IG as an April fools joke.

CVT Mt. Shasta Summit Series with annex and annex extension. It is in great condition - used sparingly and always kept indoors in my shop when not in use. No stains. Only one thing to note is the bracket for the extension rain fly u-rod is a bit loose. It does not NEED to be fixed but can be fixed by re-reveting it or getting a larger diameter screw to secure it. I have used it several times. Once tension is on the rod it becomes solid: $2,200 obo
