The 1218 tire has a slight leak (ran at 40 psi and over 3-4 weeks would loose 4-6 psi if i let it) I identified it in an outter tread block and was just too lazy to plug it. Air was easier. This tire will be free.

 

Current pair is at like 15k but I got 70k out of my first pair.

 

My wife and I both have K02's on our trucks and moved to Hood River area from Durango, CO to take care of my mom. In fact, I've only ever run BFG's. I ran a ski team in Durango and coach at Meadows now so am always winter driving (and feel I'm good at it).

We loved the KO2's in the Southwest but both kinda hate them here. Super sketchy on wet snow and at the freeze/thaw line we get so much of here. I got an Ultra Grip Ice winter wheelset for the wifey's truck and we also have a little gas saver car with studded snows for me so don't have to pucker up with my KO2's anymore. My next A/T will likely be something different.

 

I dont know if you guys ever use this site for a tire resource but i have found most of there info to be correct and it was nice to be able to compare all the specs of a tire in one place.

I ended up with a set of 235/85/16 toyo open country and have been really happy with them in the rain we will see how they do this winter.

 

So that's how they make new tires... Just need a female tire and a stud

I've heard tons of good things about those tires. My buddy runs them on his jeep and it does awesome in snow and wet roads. I just wish they looked a bit more aggressive

 

I wore out my Duratracs and switched to Wildpeaks which are almost worn out now too. Duratracs do look cool but they lose traction as the wear down. The Falkens are a superior tire, the difference was immediately noticeable.

I run a fully studded set of Cooper Discoverer M+S all winter, couldn’t be happier.

I'm in search of a 3rd gen short bed tonneau cover not picky on style or price!

 

+1 just put them on before Turkey Day Weekend. We came back across the pass and it was a gully washer at the top coming down and these tires performed great in the standing water and rarely hydro planed and made it easy to steer thru it.

Shit, totally forgot about that. I think I'm good for now. You can't really tell that they have dirt inside of them when you're up close. I'll probably keep rocking them since taking my headlights apart would be a pain in the butt.

 

No worries, less pressure for me to get them off my truck and the other ones ceramic'd.
