Thanks for the advice! It definitely seems like selling the parts locally won't be an issue.

The only thing I'm really worried about is how it drives and the reliability ratings. Some of the consumer reviews say it's not "fun" to drive. It also doesn't really have great reliability ratings and I'm having a hard time understanding why that is. I can't find a ton of info on people having issues with them so I'm not sure why the reliability ratings are so low.

As the TW advice always goes... Be sure to take a LONG test drive. Maybe see if they'll let you do an extended drive/test.

That's definitely a good idea. The one I'm looking at is actually a 2018 but it only has 12k miles on it. I have a feeling they wouldn't want me putting a bunch of miles on it but I'll see what they say!

Actually, your odds are better with it being used. Most dealerships care very little about the used car mileage. A lot of dealers actually drive the used cars home as a commuter...

I will say my grandmother has a newer Volvo I’ve driven a few times and I hate it. I find it clunky, harsh interior and an absolutely horrendous turning radius. Having said that.. it’s a nice car for those uncouthed, but I think for people like us.. it’s definitely a no go for me. It’s just a sedan so I can’t speak on the SUV’s, but that’s been my experience.

Thanks for the info on that! I will definitely pass on it if I don't like how it drives. It will be a no go for me if it feels like a grandma car.

I bought a 2011 V60 last year and drove it for a couple months before ultimately deciding I hated it. It was nice, fast, great mpg, but the interior was a disaster, and I never did get used to the gas cap being on the wrong side

Anyway, I know you’ve got your hands full with all of these savages but just say the word and I’ll probably scoop a few things off that list:thumbsup:

I've been thinking about that. I've got Spiker hood struts installed and a light bar wired into the scoop, so it would be a little bit of work to remove everything. Definitely not impossible though and probably worth the effort if someone wanted to do a swap plus cash.
