Selling works ok if they actually give you the money. Sounds like that was the main issue.

 

The only one that works is in my truck. The other two are broken.

 

What about a front differential with the factory 3.73 gears? Anyone have one of those lying around? I sourced a 5th gen 4Runner rear end we’re going to cut spring perches off and weld on leaf perches..

Gives me low mile parts, gets rid of the e locker setup, disc brakes and no messing with gears.. but super confident my truck has the 4.10 or 4.11 and the runner rear has the 3.73 lol

also found an FJ transfer case to put while in there … so lose the electronics and switch to the sticks

Do you still have the 8.4 rear? I been thinking about having a 8.4 built with an ARB.

 

I’ve got it but I’m doing what you advised for now and keeping it till my 8.0 rear proves itself to be reliable — which it might: I’m only running 4.10 in it so there’s a lot more contact area on the gears than in higher ratios.

 

Well that backfired

 

I’ve locked the rear on pavement several times for funsies, and locked it on a lot of red rock in Utah with no problems (other than burning out the shitty low range offroad switch bulb within a week). So I’ll give it a few more months and I might let go of the 8.4.

 

My light burned out pretty fast too. It was kinda annoying anyways.

 

I’ll trade you my 4.10 if you’d be interested!
