What’s the market now on turnkey built 3rd gens now? Contemplating selling mine for a used tundra (my kids are getting bigger) and then building a trail rig.

I know stock is worth always more than modded but I have low miles and 5.29s on 35s.

 

Nice build and good luck with sale. I almost bought another mid size truck until I test drove my current 2017 Tundra and was sold on all the room especially with two kids and two dogs.

 

Yeah my coworker has a 2016 crewmax and there is so much legroom in the back it’s ridiculous. My kids are 6/4 so it’s getting tight back there for long trips. We also have two (small) dogs but their kennel eats up space in the bed if we’re going camping. Gas mileage is only a little worse on the tundra than my taco as is with 5.29s and 35s…

 

Yup the room is amazing. Mine are 6/3 and I got tired of them kicking the back of my seat. I still average 14-16 mpg with 3” lift and 35s so not too bad.

 

Our current family hauler is a ‘22 GX which has pretty decent space on the inside but not a lot of cargo room, especially with any of the 3rd row seats up. My biggest complaint was getting sand everywhere after a beach trip while with a truck you can just hose everything off later.

I’d probably just do a very small lift and 1 step up on tire size for clearance if I got a tundra crew max.

 

Nice! We also had a GX460 on 35s that I sold to get the tundra. And that’s my wife’s red 4runner. I like Toyotas

 

Yea trading in for sequoia bc of growing family as well

 

might have to take you up on this so I can take off parts when I need to. Also know anyone with stock fogs they want to get rid of?
