70 series Land Cruisers are the heavy duty line of the series we never got in the USA. These trucks are bomb proof, but were often used in mining operations, oil fields, research stations (and by the T@lib@n) so used examples often have high miles, lots of rust and the wear associated with this type of life. The 2H in this truck was a decent motor but newer examples got the 1HZ which is still underpowered, but many say is the most reliable engine Toyota ever made. Someday I hope to own one.

Everything you need to know about Land Cruisers, including 70 series trucks (and this guy's ad with more pictures), is here:

you know that truck looks pretty rough and needs some help and at 16k that is crazy money. at like 6-8k reasonable. I've driven one of these and they are slow and manual EVERYTHING. its be a great project, but seems like there is a lot that needs to be fixed with wiring and the E-locker and the Spedo. and the Body cancer

Man...it's all relative. I've paid attention to the market for these on 'Mud and have seen nicer/1HZ examples going for $35-$45k. If it had the motor I wanted and if my mechanical aptitude leaned more from mechanical to paint and body, it might be more tempting. But the market is speaking if it's really been on sale for 2 years so you're probably right.

My thought was somewhere between 10 and 12. After some research that motor even with a aftermarket turbo would not have the hp to pull my rpod very well. I will keep looking I will find what I'm looking for even if I'm not exactly sure what that is.

so my saying that is not based on physically seeing the vehicle, just knowing that the average person, may not be able to the the wiring repaired by them self, or the E-locker actuator to work, and they may need to pay a shop to patch some holes. I'm going to go super low, hoping they are now tired of tire kickers, and hedging the chance that if my cost to purchase is that low and I can use that money to make repairs or search for parts to replace damage. and yes that engine is not a HP monster that is a fancy tractor motor, lots of lower torque but not great for blasting the freeway or things like that.

Anyone need/want a new, aftermarket fan shroud for V6 5VZE?

Too big for my 3.0 radiator.
