About 15 years ago I had a POS Impala with a broken gas gauge, I cannot count how many times it left me stranded. There's still a teeny part of me that worries about it.

When they replaced the fuel pump in my old chevy something got F'd up. Went from being able to bury the needle under the empty mark, and filling up 25-26 gallons of the 27 gallon tank. Afterwards (and I didn't realize for too long to have them fix), when the needle so much as brushed the empty mark the truck was sputtering and dying (and the tank would only take 22-23 gallons). The empty mark stresses me out still hahaha.

 

Didya go bigger, or smaller?

had a 77 F350 that the tank would never hit the E mark... was 2 miles from a town when I learned that lesson. but learning that lesson still many years later as soon as that light comes on its fill time!

 

My '62 Lincoln is accurate until it hits about a 1/3 tank. Then its anybodys guess.

 

Yeah man. I still owe my boy some drinks for rearranging his Sunday plans but I’m not one to hold a grudge. I know you were just trying to help your buddy out. He should’ve been the one to handle the meetups just like I should have been the one to go get the stuff.

Sure was nice last weekend being able to climb into the Scout to get outta the cold wind that all the other tent campers had to deal with.

I checked when I saw your other post. My set was $350 off eBay? I can’t find them on there anymore now. I’m sure I got Chinese knockoffs but my kids are working hard to trash them anyway.

 

I saw a 2nd gen with a Kimbo on it this morning it looked like it was really struggling. that kimbo looked huge on it.
