Ugh wish this was for a 6’ bed. I find so many cheap used decked systems for short beds. There are hardly ever any long bed decked systems FS and none are stupid cheap lol

Open to trade offers. Comes with all hardware. Has paint chipping on top on a few spots, otherwise it is in good shape.

    RCI bed rack
46" long (most popular for short beds)

The tire says 265/70 R16 on it. That's the OEM TRD OR/Pro size.

I still have a 245/75/16 under my truck, but drive around with 275/70/17s. I've been meaning to upgrade the spare to something larger but not sure what a similar size I'd need on my 16" spare

285/75 16 is a 32.83 inch, and a 285/70 16 31.71 inch tire... your 275/70 17 are a 32.16 inch tire not a perfect match but you can get close and just run that tire up front with a flat

@Integerdy I’d hold out for a 17” spare so you can BBK down the road with your setup. I’m all in on 16’s for now and kind of annoyed at myself for that.

Yeah that's more or less what I'm doing. I don't put alot of miles in, I work less than 5miles from my house and don't go on alot of long drives too often. I am about to hit 9k miles. Purchased new July 2021 lol

    Genuine question…
What/why the appetite for BBK on these trucks?
Is it specific to a certain year or model?
I’m asking because I have a 3rd Gen, full armor, 5.29 and going 35” (315/75r-16) but I don’t drive this truck like I do my other higher performing vehicles.

I have Brembo and Racing Brake BBk brake on my other cars….just not seeing the need here except for bling. Also..it’s me, with Volks

Extra rotating mass, rear drums kinda suck, hauling real weight, the Tacoma master cylinder kinda sucks. Combination of those things. I'm on my 4th set of calipers now (don't buy reman calipers), kinda wish I'd have just spent the money on a bbk lot from the beginning. When I first goty truck I thought the brakes were great, now with all my added weight they're definitely not fantastic. If these calipers I have now fail too I'll probably finally do it

    Yeah I'm with you there.

For those that don't know, BBKs actually make cars stop slower because of their increased rotating mass/moment of inertia, and the knock on effects like needing bigger wheels. You buy a BBK because they let you stop hard repeatedly in a track scenario.

The brakes on the Tacoma are good enough to get into the ABS, that means they're good enough to maximize the tire's ability to slow down. So why would I spend money that could buy me a full King coilover setup, or a bed canopy?

A truck isn't a sports car. I don't need it to have maximum braking consistently for an hour, I need it to slow down once.

Thank for the reminder there, fellas!
I’m still on oem calipers and pads with 30k miles (4.5 years). I’ll pass on BBk for a while.

I have a complete set of OEM brakes front and rear with less than 2,000 miles on them that I should probably unload.

    Hey everyone,

I'm considering letting go of my hard top. It is an ARE CX Series. It has roof rails to mount a rack, insulated, carpeted and has factory installed LED's inside. This canopy was upgraded to the frameless all glass side windows, frameless rear window, aluminum framed sliding and tilt down back glass, and flip down clothes rod. The glass has also been tinted and it does come with the key and mounting clamps.
It is in great condition but does have a small broken piece of fiberglass in the left rear corner. The broken piece is cosmetic only and can be fixed, I just haven't gotten around to doing it since it is only cosmetic.

New and installed this is almost $3800. Im hoping to trade for a roof rack and softopper or softopper and cash? What do you have?

Really looking for trades at this time.

This canopy is for a short bed.

Located near Eugene OR but willing to travel within reason.

    Thanks!
