I’ve also looked at Octagon style eliminator kits too, but the MC kit is the beefiest looking one. Still worried that I could bend the factory tabs with it.

that’s the plan so far. Did you take the LCA off or burn them in with it on? Was reading some people were doing it with them on as long as they weren’t going all out on the welds and taking their time.

100% take them off. You will burn the bushings and will take much longer. LCA's are easy to remove. Just be careful to brace the LCA mounts, so they don't warp in on each other. I got full thread bolts and a few nuts to brace the spacing on the mounts. The guy who burned mine on said it helped quite a bit.

Noted. In the other thread I saw some people had warped them and others opted to leave the LCA in to prevent it. Appreciate it!

Not mine. Pretty cool Carbon Hood. Not a fan of much carbon but this thing looks pretty sick.

Made by Seibon. Also, $1100 seems way overpriced, when it isn't much more expensive brand new.

    https://runnin4tacos.com/products/tr-style-carbon-fiber-hood-2016-2020-toyota-tacoma

Also, anyone considering should look into the need for hood pins. I know many don't run them, but it seems a high risk IMO.

I replaced my LCA's when i did my kit so i welded them in with the old LCA's still bolted up to keep everything from moving. @Bertw192 plan of putting the bolt back in sounds like a slick idea too.

Agree on the hood pins and another thing worth looking into with these carbon fiber hoods is how they would/would not crumble and fold in a front end accident. I've always stayed away from them since they could be a projectile into the windshield and cabin.

Agreed. My motorcycle is 100% carbon bodywork, it's ridiculous, but I would never consider a carbon hood.
