Hey guys, I might be making a trip to PDX this Saturday to pick up an engine.

I wouldn't mind grabbing these for you if they're still available and if there's room (I am gonna try to take my Dad's DC/LB down there).
    Beavis: http://salem.craigslist.org/pts/4247190062.html
    Kolt: http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/pts/4307126533.html
    *there's also this listing:http://portland.craigslist.org/clc/pts/4313467121.html They have (3) apparently...thieves perhaps???

I might also be grabbing a transmission, and possibly F+R Diffs, depending on who wants what - so space might be limited.

(and this is all tentative as of right now)

Anton compression tested his, and 2 of the cylinders were pretty low. He didn't feel comfortable installing without knowing why. I found a comparable engine in PDX, along with solid running gear for a DC/LB Auto 4x4. We'll see how it pans out.

Needless to say I won't need Bill's help this Friday. This all came about late last night, and I didn't want to text you. :)

All good. I was awake until late. Part of having a 10 month old I guess :(. I am so ready for a good week of sleep!

I'll let him know when I talk to him. He didn't come in to work today.

That would be great if you have the room. I did just send you a PM also.

Alright, so it looks a road-trip to PDX is set for Saturday AM. Taking my Dad's DC/LB down there, and I'm not sure how much crap we can fit into it. Definitely will be babying his truck, and make sure everything is secured/padded.

If all goes well, I'll be grabbing an engine for me. Anton might be getting the trans/transfer case. Dude also has F+R Diffs (3.73 ratio, 8.4" RG) available if anyone's interested. He will probably sell them cheap. I've talked him down $500 on the engine and $350 on the trans - probably get an even better deal if we grab the diffs as well.

I will also be grabbing a Tail Gate and Bed Mat for Kolt.

    Anyone else need anything?

That's awesome! I am stoked and I am glad to hear that your getting all your stuff together.

I am not sure if Beavis got ahold of you or if you have the room but he did seem to be intersted in the bedrug.

Got it, thanks Beavis! You can disregard my PM :D

I'm anxious and nervous about the engine - but I'm trying to stay optimistic and positive...supposedly 38k from a salvaged 2010 (burned bed & rear cab). From the pics the engine bay looks untouched, and he said he started it and it started/ran strong. But still, you never know...I have the VIN and found the original auction. Everything he told me so far seems legit.

Let's hope lady luck is still willing to put out for me
