Haha he must have fixed it after I spoke to him. Replied back agreeing that was confusing. Said they were going on a land cruiser, and that he would probably drop the price after they have been up a bit.

Actually not a bad price considering wheels will get damaged when wheeling anyway. A new set of 5 will run $1075 and will usually incur shipping charges of approx $75.

If it was a large chain they don't care too much.

Discount tire screwed up one stock rim awhile back and I just bought 4 aftermarket rims from them, with 2 free with installation. Sold the stock set for 250 or so. It is an inconvenience for the person as you have to come back and basically wasted half day or so to begin with. Plus its not like their paying retail for the rims.

Absolutely, I have one bad rim from a rock wheeling. I don’t care much cause I’m going to fuck them up but I’m not a fan of those particular wheels and to me those dinged wheels are only worth $100 each to me. Maybe someone else may feel like that’s a deal and great for them. The value is in the eye of the beholder.

To me? Haha. What color f5’s do you have? I’m still torn between 16’s and 17’s as well.

Off the f5 topic but I am still looking around for a 2 place 2” kuat or Thule T2 style bike rack

I've found equivalent tire sizes in 16" to be quite a bit cheaper than 17. Guess fashion costs?

I prefer the look of 16s but unfortunately a lot of tire manufacturers aren't making certain models under 17s, like my ridge grapplers.

This is the problem with CL. You can't publicly shame the seller, like you can on TW marketplace. I wish CL had a comments section for the ad. That way you could out scammers, flakes, and other shysters.

I was thinking the same thing. Unfortunately I can't afford the tent, let alone the trailer.

Yeah, those trailers are expensive! Even if you DIY one out of an old military trailer. But @Nimitz only has some fur babies I believe, so he has more disposable income than I do ;)

Looks like it now, originally when I bought mine they didn't offer it in 16s.

Soooo, he has an extra set of wheels that are in good, sellable condition, and he's shady because he's asking a fair market price for them? What does it matter how much he paid for them? When you sell your house, do you sell it for how much you bought it for, or do you sell it for how much the current value is?

I’m not one that said he was shady, I just feel he’s overpriced due to flawed wheels... I do have to call you out though as you’re not making an apples to apples comparison. If the general contractor made mistakes building your house they wouldn’t offer you a new second house for your inconvenience which would give you a house to sell to recoup 3/4 of the cost. Again, I don’t think it’s shady just that he’s overpriced.
