So those all pro sliders require you to drill holes in your frame, and hardware isnt included. Is it safe drilling into your frame?

 

There’s nothing really dangerous about t as long as you look out for your break lines. But it’s a lot of effort. I imagine if you aren’t “experienced” at drilling holes, it’ll turn into one of those days where a bit breaks off, you drill a hole in the wrong spot, bought bolts that are too short, etc.

 

Ya I feel it. I emailed all pro to see what sort of bolt kit I'd need to buy. I used to drill airplanes all the time but that was aluminum. Steel is a bitch

 

Just make sure you have the right bit and take your time, it will be all good!!

A couple sharp bits and some oil will make it easy.

I found a good forum posted about these on here, The OP live's in Kirkland so I posted on his thread seeing if some beer would be accepted as payment for a little help.

 

I'm the one with all pro bolt on sliders. They mount up to some existing holes so then it's easy and mark the extra holes you need to drill. I used a Harbor Freight titanium drill bit set and a couple of their step up bits. Wasn't too bad of an install. Worst part was it was a hot day and I got hot shavings falling on my arms.

 

Could you be persuaded into helping me out for the lump sum payment of beer? It sounds like these have a bit of rust, so I'd need to clean them up and spray bedliner them. And also order up a hardware kit since it doesnt have them, and backing plates as well.

 

Almost stole them, someone committed and sent cash. Well played.

I'm pretty new here, greetings from Seattle!

Anybody interested in a set of ARB drawers and a custom fit kit for a long bed? These are the 53" variants, one with a roller top and the other with a pullout steel table top.

The drawers are about $2K new, and I have about $600 wrapped up in fabrication of the fit kit. Looking to get $1200 out of the whole setup.

 

Could I get this to fit into my shortbed with a different fit kit? If so, dibs!

Probably, but it'd require some modification because the fit kit was custom fabricated by Adventure-Ready in Ballard. The drawers are 53" long, and the your bed is ~60", right? You'd have to cut down the rails and reduce the storage at the front. The side "wings" attach to the drawer frame and only sit on the lip at wheelwell height, so shouldn't be any mounting concerns. You'd end up with a much smaller gap at the front of your bed, but still usable space. If you had some basic cutting tools, it should be pretty easily doable.
