    Here are the sliders I am looking at. He said he wire wheeled them and painted them and this is them after one winter. looks like surface rust, what do you think? Picking them up this Friday for 250, then off to sandblasting and powder coat

    Yeah, just make sure all the sand gets leaned out of the spaces around the fill plates. Sand will give a place for the moisture to accumulate.

    That makes sense. Hoping that it wont cost too much. Trying to keep everything under 500 bucks. Sliders are 250, plus hardware kit, and powder coating. Having some TW peeps help with the install

    And the 3/8 starboard seems to be plenty rigid enough?

    Did you just order it cut to size or pick it up at one of the local stores? I see there is one in Lynwood and Seattle.

    I just walked in and had them cut this to size. Seems rigid enough to me. I mostly did this so I can set stuff on it while cooking and I'm on the list for a GFC so I'll be crawling in and out and hate the stock panels on my knees.
