Nope, a 2nd gen will sit too high on a 3rd gen... above the cab.

I'd argue the other way around. Your cab is easy to damage and with all of our tight trails and trees around here, sliders are more important than skids. I've crunched my cab in my old XJ while under the cab was perfectly fine. The first time I took my tacoma wheeling my sliders protected me from a tree in tahuya on a moderately easy trail. Everything is pretty stout and solid underneath and you'd really have to bash your truck to break anything underneath it.

Well, I have a big dent in my cross member that could have easily cracked my transfer case instead. So, yes, I do believe that the plates are more important and they were the first piece of armor I installed.
Body damage sucks but it beats destroying critical and expensive drive line components.

I agree, 250 is so unnecessary. Most are around 50 lbs per side.

 I guess it's wherever you go. I've done a few places and I've only got a few small scratches on things underneath the truck but could have easily messed up the body if it weren't for the sliders. I'm not doing the extensive rock gardens or anything anytime soon even with my new front and rear bumpers. Maybe when I'm on 35s...we'll see lol.

If you agree to take them all, it's a deal. I don't want to have to try to piece the others out. : /

After crushing on this LC80 since you posted it, I was pretty much set to make it happen. But then I talked with my insurance agent, and he said Allstate won't insure it, not even just liability. Haggerty said no, as I'd be driving it too many miles. I could call Progressive, but I'm not moving all my insurance products over to Progressive, and I don't think they'll insure just one vehicle with my others still at Allstate.:rain:

So the RHD Diesel LC80 dream has died......:(

I’ve been looking into these as of late... good to know prior to getting too serious. I’ll have to check USAA before I nix it completely but not looking good.
