Damn, if you find yourself going close to Portland let me know. I’ll be there next week and the last week of May. It’s a little far from Portland to drive to.

I laugh every time I see a special suspension setup like that on an offroad trailer. What a fucking gimmick.

I see the description, but have you seen a good photo of it? I assume it's just some sort of A-arm with a coil slapped in-between...

Aside from "gimmicky" is there a negative aspect to it that I'm missing?

Not being defensive, but am genuinely curious and trying to learn.

The two negative aspects are the cost of coilovers vs leaf springs and the higher number of moving parts to wear out and break. Looks to me like that's exactly it, a trailing a arm with a coilover. The hitch provides all the articulation, so literally all you need is springs and some decent shocks.

So who wants to buy some BP-51’s? Front coilovers are brand new and the rears have 5k miles on them.

Oooh those are tough. I'll keep an eye out. I usually see more 79-80 side latch style. My buddy has a spare but he already said he'd never get rid of it, it was hard enough to find already.

I don't quite see Jim as spicoli, but I agree with the caption.

Unpainted and missing the scoop plastic, but yes, $1000 is pushing the final cost.
